If I were an Earthquake

If I were an Earthquake,
I would shake over houses, buildings and power lines.
I would rattle as many buildings,
Until they would crash to the solid ground.
I would tumble down power lines,
I would crack up the road as enormous as possible,
And frighten the life of all residents,
To run away from home.
For all too soon,
The plates underneath would like each other again,
And I must calm myself down as well,
And go to sleep again.
If only I were an Earthquake.
