The Book, or the DVDs

As I walk in shop, I saw all sorts of books,
I started to see all the books in the shop, but I can only get one!

I start to see Captain underpants, then Roald Dahl books and then I started
to jump about:
I found DVDs!!! And most of them were $9.99!

Then my Mum called out: "Joshua! Joshua! Come and look at this!"
I found a book that is shiny, a book that is BIG, a book that is also on T.V.
(But not anymore) And one of my Favourites:
GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS 2010 'The book of the decade'

I wasn't sure what to get, now I had a choice of DVDs (Which I really wanted)
or 'The book'

It took a long time to choose, but my Mum she just kept on saying:
"BUY IT! BUY IT!"
The book was a bargain: $29.99!! And it was on special it was before: $54.99!!

Until I made my decision:
I brought the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS 2010 book.

I took it to the counter and I had a $10 (NZ) gift voucher,
but I had to use a bit of my own money which was $20 (NZ)

I was happy that I brought it,
But I was MAD with my Mum for always persuading me!

Macbeth

In term 4, 2009 we filmed our own version of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The class tried out for the parts and we filmed it in the classroom and around the school grounds. We used blue screening on almost everything, except the fighting scenes. We got most of the backgrounds from hyper studio which is the most awesome programme I have ever used. We also used animations with hyper studio. We added in transitions and special effects from i movie and recorded sound and added music last. We might put it on youtube because it is so awesome!

Breakfast

"Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!" Goes my watch.
I got my head up and said "huhhhhh!"
I put my whole on the pillow and I nearly fell asleep again
cause my pillow was so soft!
It was like the most softest cloud on earth but I woke up,
Ate breakfast.
And half way... "BURRRRPPPP!"
I said: "Opps!" instead of "parden me!
I felt ashamed just after that,
But then my watch beeped again!!!
"Shut your mouth!!" I said to the watch.
I turned it off, finished my breakfast,
and put my watch in my bedroom.
Lucky I'm not wearing my watch today!!

Why you should have a very healthy lunch

I think we ALL have to have a healthy lunch because:
What would happen if you get very fat?
It would be very hard to walk!
And getting in the car! You would be nearly too big!
And you might not be able to play any sport!

Now for an example what we should have is:
Fruit (like apples, Oranges, feijoas and/or Manderins, MY FAVOURTITE!!!
And also Vegetables (like Broccoli, carrots, potatoes)
And that is it I guess for veges, but there is HEAPS more of them!

And that is why I think you should have a VERY healthy lunch.

The Mud Run

Into the mud I went, holding Mrs Glasgow's hand. I freaked out! I was sinking down into ooey gooey mud, right up to my elbows.

With each step I sink down into the revolting, stinky mud. It feels so sticky. Sticky as glue.

I start to panic as the mud rises up to my waist. I can feel things in the mud. It fills my shorts and clings to my skin. I am scared of all the creepy crawly critters crawling on me and it feels like I'm going to sink and drown.

This is revolting!
Then suddenly, I'm out!
... But I wonder if I'll do it again next year?

Interview with Mrs Johnson

On 24/8/09 we went to Rm 1 to interview Mrs Johnson, because we desperately wanted to know what it was like in history. We asked her many questions. And this is what we found out:

Mrs Johnson stared school when she was 5. The year would have been 1916, as she is now 98 years old.

There was only 1 teacher in one classroom, the class went from primer 1 to standard 4.

She usualy had sandwiches and a piece of cake for her lunch.

The girls were not treated differently to the boys.

They didn't have a pool, but there was a river close to them, so were allowed to swim there.

We had HEAPS more questions and everyone was Interested! We had fun Interviewing Mrs Johnson!

Why homework should be banned

I believe homework should be banned. And there are 5 reasons why:

#1: I think we should because it is a waste of trees because you use paper for homework!!

#2: I agree that homework should be banned because it is a waste of time, and we nearly have NO time to watch T.V. or go on computers, or go outside and play, and we won't be able to play games!

#3: I also believe that it must take a long time for the teachers to mark!

#4: I think it should be banned because it also takes teachers to plan homework as well!!

#5: We must ban homework because it pollutes the air to make paper from trees!

And that is why I think homework MUST be banned.

Being sick

Being sick is not much fun, because you spew, and the spew looks like water.
Being sick is kinda' fun though, because you don't have to go to school, and you can watch T.V. or play on the computer ALL day long!!!

The cloud

As I lay down the soft, calmful grass, and watch the clouds go by, different shapes and sizes, moving in the brezze, some shapes are boats, some shapes are cars, some shapes
are animals like Cats, Dogs, Elephants, Fish and Birds. I like watching the clouds go by and looking at different clouds but now its time to go inside because the clouds are trying to rain on me!
